The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,168.99), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gutzon Borglum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mares of Diomedes' in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 118,625.92).
