It achieved a price of USD 100,800.00 (€ 89,306.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Gunther Gerzso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) in May last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 493,150.68).

Die Arbeit Azul-amarillo-verde von Gunther Gerzso kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 89.306,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunther Gerzso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 493.150,68).
