Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work A Group of Three Abstract Lithographs 3 by Gunther Gerzso for USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,230.55). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gunther Gerzso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) in May last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 493,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Group of Three Abstract Lithographs 3 von Gunther Gerzso für USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.230,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gunther Gerzso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 493.150,68).
