Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verschwende Deine Jugend (Daf) by Gregor Hildebrandt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,734.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gregor Hildebrandt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2010 the work Faith was auctioned for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 54,942.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verschwende Deine Jugend (Daf) von Gregor Hildebrandt kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.734,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Gregor Hildebrandt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2010 die Arbeit Faith für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 54.942,95) versteigert.
