Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Collage For Exhibition Installation by Gordon Matta-Clark was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,872.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gordon Matta-Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pier 52 ( # 4) in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 131,000.00 (€ 145,937.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Collage For Exhibition Installation von Gordon Matta-Clark kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.872,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gordon Matta-Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pier 52 ( # 4) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.000,00 (€ 145.937,97).
