Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pelle di grafite - riflesso di cuprite (Skin of graphite - reflections of Cuprite) by Giuseppe Penone was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pelle di grafite - riflesso di cuprite (Skin of graphite - reflections of Cuprite) von Giuseppe Penone kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.083,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
