Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Natura morta by Giorgio Morandi. The price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,236.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 22,000.00 – 28,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta von Giorgio Morandi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.236,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 22.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71).
