The work Passo di danza by Giacomo Manzù was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Admittedly, works by Giacomo Manzù have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).

Die Arbeit Passo di danza von Giacomo Manzù wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 164.383,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
