Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Busto giapponese by Giacomo Manzù was worth EUR 27,720.00 to a buyer in December this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale at Christies in Milan and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).

Die Arbeit Busto giapponese von Giacomo Manzù war einem Käufer im Dezember diesen Jahres EUR 27.720,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale bei Christies in Mailand erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
