Realizzata nel 1975 per la porta della Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano a Roma; esemplare unico Opera registrata presso la Fondazione Giacomo Manzù, Aprilia, n. 24/2023, come da autentica 'THE OWL'; STAMPED (ON THE REVERSE); GOLDEN BRONZE L'opera non richiede Attestato di Libera Circolazione al fine della sua esportazione. In December this year Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale, which included the work La civetta by Giacomo Manzù. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,040.00 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).

Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La civetta von Giacomo Manzù zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.040,00 und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
