Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (Blanc/Rouge No.2) by Ghada Amer. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,504.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ghada Amer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Blanc/Rouge No.2) von Ghada Amer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.504,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ghada Amer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
