Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Violet et 4 Couleures sur le côté) by Ghada Amer was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,529.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ghada Amer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Violet et 4 Couleures sur le côté) von Ghada Amer kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.529,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ghada Amer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
