Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 1 - Grille Verte by Ghada Amer was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London auction at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghada Amer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).

Die Arbeit Untitled 1 - Grille Verte von Ghada Amer wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer erzielen.
