Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ghada Amer could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer auction, the work A Haunted Forest RFGA changed hands for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,566.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghada Amer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ghada Amer konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer wechselte die Arbeit A Haunted Forest RFGA für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.566,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
