Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Odalisque; (ii) Feet by Ghada Amer was auctioned at Phillips in 19 - in September this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,302.00 (€ 3,302.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghada Amer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Odalisque; (ii) Feet von Ghada Amer kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 19 - zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.302,00 (€ 3.302,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
