Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet jacket with an ochre wrap, standing in a park landscape with the statue of the Farnese Hercules beyond by Gerard Hoet I was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2011. It changed hands for a price of EUR 9,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerard Hoet I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mars paying homage to Venus in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,324.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet jacket with an ochre wrap, standing in a park landscape with the statue of the Farnese Hercules beyond von Gerard Hoet I kam im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 9.375,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerard Hoet I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mars paying homage to Venus im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.324,70).
