This artwork by Gerard Hoet I achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2004. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work A Market Scene With A Commedia Dell'Arte Performance sold for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 32,208.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gerard Hoet I; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mars paying homage to Venus sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,324.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard Hoet I erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit A Market Scene With A Commedia Dell'Arte Performance für GBP 35.850,00 (€ 32.208,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gerard Hoet I; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mars paying homage to Venus im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.324,70).
