Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work Blue Flowers for a Blue Dog by George Rodrigue. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,461.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Rodrigue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 128,572.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Flowers for a Blue Dog von George Rodrigue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.461,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Rodrigue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 128.572,51).
