Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples, which included the work George's Sweet Inspirations by George Rodrigue. The price achieved of USD 828.75 (€ 732.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Rodrigue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 128,572.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit George's Sweet Inspirations von George Rodrigue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 828,75 (€ 732,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Rodrigue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 128.572,51).
