This artwork by George Pusenkoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2008. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Red Digital Matisse sold for USD 51,400.00 (€ 33,033.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Pusenkoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Window #3, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 84,764.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Pusenkoff erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Red Digital Matisse für USD 51.400,00 (€ 33.033,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Pusenkoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Window #3 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 84.764,26) versteigert wurde.
