Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Target by Gardar Eide Einarsson was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,471.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gardar Eide Einarsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Target von Gardar Eide Einarsson kam im April 2019 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.471,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gardar Eide Einarsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97).
