Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work The Master Switch by Gardar Eide Einarsson. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,104.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gardar Eide Einarsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Master Switch von Gardar Eide Einarsson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.104,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gardar Eide Einarsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greetings to Thieves, Male and Female im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97).
