Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mesmerized by Nature by Gabriel Barredo was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,772.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Barredo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree of Life, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 216,000.00 (€ 21,695.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mesmerized by Nature von Gabriel Barredo wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.772,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Barredo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree of Life beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für HKD 216.000,00 (€ 21.695,94) versteigert wurde.
