This artwork by Gabriel Barredo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Breakfast For A Visionary sold for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 11,637.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gabriel Barredo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tree of Life sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 21,695.94).

In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Breakfast For A Visionary für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 11.637,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gabriel Barredo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tree of Life im Mai 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 216.000,00 (€ 21.695,94).
