This artwork by Gabriel Barredo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Tree of life - reaching out sold for HKD 96,000.00 (€ 9,141.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Barredo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree of Life, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 216,000.00 (€ 21,695.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gabriel Barredo erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Tree of life - reaching out für HKD 96.000,00 (€ 9.141,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Barredo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree of Life beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für HKD 216.000,00 (€ 21.695,94) versteigert wurde.
