In November 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Birth to Nothing by Gabriel Barredo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 82,875.00 (€ 9,214.86), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Barredo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree of Life, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 216,000.00 (€ 21,695.94).

Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birth to Nothing von Gabriel Barredo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 82.875,00 (€ 9.214,86) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Barredo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree of Life beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für HKD 216.000,00 (€ 21.695,94) versteigert wurde.
