Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction Objects of Vertu and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A young gentleman, facing right in a brown coat, white waistcoat and cravat; sky background by Frederick Buck. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 557.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Buck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Objects of Vertu and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young gentleman, facing right in a brown coat, white waistcoat and cravat; sky background von Frederick Buck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 557,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden.
