Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick Buck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair sold at auction in June 2003 with the realized price of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
