Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Admiral Sir Herbert Sawyer, K.C.B., in black double-breasted uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, white waistcoat, black stock, wearing the badge of the Order of the Bath by Frederick Buck. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 875.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Buck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Admiral Sir Herbert Sawyer, K.C.B., in black double-breasted uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, white waistcoat, black stock, wearing the badge of the Order of the Bath von Frederick Buck zur Versteigerung kam.
