Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 216.00 (€ 317.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Buck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
