Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Icons, Russian and, which included the work Unknown by Frederick Buck. The price achieved of GBP 239.00 (€ 338.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Buck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Icons, Russian and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Frederick Buck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 239,00 (€ 338,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Buck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.987,50 (€ 4.293,20).
