However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Buck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young lady, facing right in ruffle bordered white silk dress, yellow sash, blue hat with yellow ribbon in her long curling brown hair, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,293.20).
