Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Landscape, near Hastings, Minnesota by Frank Gohlke. The price achieved of USD 3,150.00 (€ 3,170.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Gohlke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,397.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, near Hastings, Minnesota von Frank Gohlke zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.150,00 (€ 3.170,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Gohlke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im April 2010 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.397,08) versteigert wurde.
