Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Gohlke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2015. In the Innovators of Photography: A Private East Coast Collection auction, the work Ten Minutes in North Texas #1, Clay County sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,754.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Gohlke; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Selected Images sold at auction in April 2010 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,397.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Gohlke erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Innovators of Photography: A Private East Coast Collection wurde die Arbeit Ten Minutes in North Texas #1, Clay County für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.754,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frank Gohlke; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.397,08).
