Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Studies Of Grain Elevator by Frank Gohlke for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,051.01). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs from the Polaroid Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Gohlke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,397.08).
