Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Edge of thunderstorm, looking south near Dean, Texas by Frank Gohlke for USD 510.00 (€ 469.70). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Gohlke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,397.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Edge of thunderstorm, looking south near Dean, Texas von Frank Gohlke für USD 510,00 (€ 469,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Gohlke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.397,08).
