Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Gated Fields by Francis Davison. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,679.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Francis Davison have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gated Fields von Francis Davison zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.679,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Francis Davison konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.709,36) versteigert.
