Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Francis Davison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Buildings In A Landscape sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,250.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francis Davison; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Davison erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Buildings In A Landscape für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.250,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00.
