Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Yellow Right Angle by Francis Davison. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,211.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Francis Davison have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yellow Right Angle von Francis Davison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.211,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Francis Davison konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.709,36) versteigert.
