Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Faile could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,082.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Faile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York City 02 in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,793.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faile konnte im März 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.082,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Faile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York City 02 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.793,22).
