Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Real Life Romance by Faile was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,008.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Faile have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York City 02 in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,793.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Real Life Romance von Faile kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.008,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Faile auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York City 02 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.793,22).
