In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Fabian Marcaccio. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,576.04), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fabian Marcaccio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mutual betrayal #2, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fabian Marcaccio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.576,04) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63) versteigert wurde.
