In July this year Christies in Paris held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Moral Promiscuity 2 by Fabian Marcaccio. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,528.09), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fabian Marcaccio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual betrayal #2 in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moral Promiscuity 2 von Fabian Marcaccio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.528,09) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63).
