Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Fabian Marcaccio was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,646.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fabian Marcaccio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual betrayal #2 in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fabian Marcaccio wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.646,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63).
