This artwork by Fabian Marcaccio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Paintings Instead Of A Motorcycle, Two Men And A Revolver sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fabian Marcaccio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mutual betrayal #2, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,573.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fabian Marcaccio erzielte im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Paintings Instead Of A Motorcycle, Two Men And A Revolver für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fabian Marcaccio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mutual betrayal #2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.573,63) versteigert wurde.
