In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Fat Car by Erwin Wurm. The »bidding war« ended at USD 162,500.00 (€ 144,688.81), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by Erwin Wurm have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 150,000.00 in December 2017 for the work Fat Car.

Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fat Car von Erwin Wurm zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 144.688,81) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00 im Dezember 2017 für die Arbeit Fat Car beobachtet.
