This artwork by Erwin Wurm achieved an unexpectedly high price at Lempertz in Cologne in December last year. In the Day Sale - Zeitgenössische Kunst & Moderne Kunst auction, the work Breathe In, Breathe Out sold for EUR 2,772.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erwin Wurm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fat Car in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Erwin Wurm erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Lempertz in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Day Sale - Zeitgenössische Kunst & Moderne Kunst wurde die Arbeit Breathe In, Breathe Out für EUR 2.772,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fat Car im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
