This artwork by Erwin Wurm achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2017. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Fat Car sold for EUR 150,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00. This high result makes Fat Car the most expensive artwork by Erwin Wurm that we have observed at auctions so far.
