Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ernest Trova could be acquired at Sothebys in London in February 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Study: Falling Man Series (Landscape) changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,373.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Trova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man), which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Trova konnte im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Study: Falling Man Series (Landscape) für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.373,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Trova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18) versteigert wurde.
