Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study/Falling Man (Car Man) by Ernest Trova was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 16,580.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Trova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man), which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
